A 5-tube early Superhetrodyne, am broadcast band only. US Radio & Television was based in Marion Indiana and built radios under the Apex, US Apex and Gloritone brands. Not much else is known about the company by this collector and only a few models made in the late 20's & early 30's have been seen. I suspect they were bought out or went bankrupt in the mid 30's.

The cabinet is in excellent condition but the original finish is worn an scuffed, overall I would rate the finish as good. The insides is another matter, very clean and in excellent working condition, good back light dial and original grill cloth in very good condition. I have owned this set for several years and it came from a collector who was a very good technical person and all the radios I have acquired from him work very well. However, since I did not restore the electronics, I will offer the set as found but do stand behind my guarantee of satisfaction, I just don't offer my extended warranty like I would on the radios that I have personally restored.
