Circa 1948, Motorola's most popular
late 1940's TV. This one's been
electronically restored and works as good as it did when new.
The finish is original except for the control panel which I
re-finished & applied new decals. There are a few blems an
nicks in the finish but no loose veneer, deep gouges or serious
damage. I created the art work and
had them made since the originals where mostly worn
off. I offer these for sale on the
VT-71 service manual page.
This was an inexpensive TV for it's time made for the budget
minded. The VT-71 is not one of the best circuit designs of the time
but does well with a good signal. Most
TV's of this era had 20 or more tubes (some as many as 30), while
this one only had 15. Features 8 channels, several must be pre-set
for for you local stations. Channel positions: 2 or 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
8 or 9, 10 or 11 & 12 or 13. Read my write-up about
operating your vintage TV.
