Crosley
"Gemchest"
model 609
From my project shelf, one of Crosley's first all electric radios.
It's time for someone else to take care of this little "Gem". I
offer it as found, not working. I carefully "fired" it up, tubes
light, produces a minor static sound but no play. The
speaker has been replaced (Crosley had a bad run of these early
speakers due to poor Pot Metal). The color is the proper
shade by someone in the past has re-painted it. I include my
vintage poster ad for this
radio in the deal.
