The Automatic Radio Corporation's models of subminiature tube radios: the "Tom Thumb" 528 & the Firestone version TT-528 have a full compliment of subminiature tubes The "Tom Thumb" TT-600 although labeled as a transistor radio is actually a hybrid with three subminiature tubes and two transistors. Battery requirement: All required a 45 volt "B" battery, the all tube models  "A" battery 1.5 volts while the "A" battery of the Hybrid required a special 4 volt cell. These sets measure 6X4X1.5" and weigh (without batteries) 1, 1/4 lb.
