The Westinghouse "DB" is a dual crystal detector for the "RA" tuner. Like the tuner, it's one of "Radio Corporation's" (RCA), early offerings. One of the crystal detectors used is the elusive "Perikon" detector, the other is the more conventional type. There were at least 7 versions and first introduced in mid 1921.

More info for the above can be found in Eric Wenaas fabulous book; "Radiola, the Golden Age of RCA where most of the above information was gleaned from.
