General Television - "Baby Ruby"

This is a unique and tiny little radio that is styled much like the much sought after and larger "Climax Ruby". The big difference is; it's much smaller, measuring only 11" wide and 8" tall. Features a beautiful back lighted colorful dial and a shortwave band. I'm basing my estimate on the date by the types of tubes used, they are typical for sets made in the 1934 -35 era.

Although I have not found any documentation on this, I have been informed that he Climax Radio Co. was purchased by General Television in the mid 1930's. Afterwards some of their production had no name, some with the "Climax" brand and after the remains of the "Climax" stuff was used, all carried the "General Television" brand.
