A completely self
contained portable (speaker, batteries and antenna). This beautiful
example was acquired at the auction of the late James Mason's estate
of Beaverton, OR. Jim, a dear friend of mine loved radios (his
home was full), this was one of his favorite portables. Although it
was in excellent cosmetic condition when I got it, It did not work.
After the usual audio transformer repair/replacements, it now works
fine. Five tubes, UX-199's all accessible through a door panel on the
top rear. |
