Made to work with the General Motors, "Little General" or any early TRF receiver. It's basically a super-het tuner with an IF frequency of 535 KC (just below the low end of the broadcast band). Most receivers of the early TRF type will tune that low. The way it works; you connect the antenna and ground to this control unit's antenna & ground terminals. Then connect the smokers stand output to the radio's antenna & ground terminals. Tune the radio to the lowest end of the broadcast band and the smokers stand become the tuner. All original (except the new bottom felt) and in excellent overall cosmetic condition. Working condition is unknown as I have not yet performed and work or tests.
