Circa 1954, the Motorola "Pixie" is one of my favorite little radios. It has 3 subminiature tubes and one miniature. The set opens up for battery access like a camera. Like all Motorola products, an excellent performer. Battery requirement: 1-45 volt "B" battery, 1-1.5 volt "C" cell for the "A" battery. The set measures 6X4X2" and weighs just over 1.5 lb w/o batteries.
be sure and visit the subminiature tube page
