A
REAL CUTIE! This is a most unusual radio. This was built for RCA by
Westinghouse for the 1930 Radiola line. Very small, measures only 34"
tall. The cabinet is unusual in that the cabinet is made of
pressed wood,
not repwood (which is sawdust and glue) but real wood, sliced into thin
layers and pressed into a mold to give it a real carved wood look. The
chassis is also unusual in layout and design, a super sensitive 7-tube TRF
circuit with excellent sensitivity, selectively and sound quality.
Electronic restoration just completed, the cabinet was redone by the
previous owner. Has original grill cloth, the dial scale is one of my
replications. |
