There are several versions of this rare receiver. Housed in a beautiful mahogany case, this version is dated May 1923. The Radiola I is a simple crystal receiver with a somewhat complex detector assembly. Most crystal detectors have a "cat's whisker" and a chunk of Germanium for the "crystal" part. This special detector, called the "Perikon" uses two rather rare crystals, Bornite in the fixed cup and Zincite in the movable (upper) part and I must say, it works quite well.

The difference between this one and the 1922 version are:
