From my collection, the "Dancing in Ladies" is unique in its design as its driver and internal baffle differ in design than any other cone, disc type that I have seen.  Features an rather complex driver with a heavy, solid metal of some alloy type. Not sure what the material its as  heavy like cast iron but not. Nor is it Pot Metal.

The finish and grille cloth are all original.

Unfortunately when I checked for operation, it did not work. Someone had attempted to repair the driver and they left it with the magnetic coil windings damaged. I made no attempt to repair but saw how easy (without making any alterations to the structure) it would be to simply install a vintage 1930s PM speaker. Which is what I have done (see internal image above).  it now works much better than the original, primitive armature driven type since it has a voice coil.
