A CRT tester rejuvenator is a must for any early television collector or vintage television technician.

The B&K 440 has been my favorite for testing and rejuvenating early CRTs until I recently restored this instrument. Like the '440, it has two large neon lamps that will let you know right away the basic condition of a CRT that's quite good or  good for rejuvenation.

Of course, its good for only the early CRT's (late 40s - mid '50s) but don't come any better.

This tester works much the same as the '440 but has one feature the '440 does not. That is a very sensitive grid emission test. I was tempted to keep this and sell my B&K but decided against because (at age 82), I'm winding down and not likely to have a lot of use for either much longer.
