The TV-3 series will test all the consumer and military tubes (except the larger transmitting types) from the 1920's to around the mid 1960's. It will not test the newer types (compactrons etc.) that were introduced in the late 1960's & '70's. The "BU" version differs from the TV-3/U because of the built-in VOM and capacity meter.
