Circa 1923 This is a very unusual horn speaker. The large  wood base houses an unusual and complicated driver unit, matching transformer and field coils. Take a look at the unusual and primitive internal mechanism. It is obvious that they were trying to circumvent the patents that Magnavox held on the "Voice Coil" type of driver.
