The above features my most recent TV restoration. I've had this on display in my "radio room" as-is since acquired around 1990. This model is by far my favorite television. Why (one might ask); well, it represents my first exposure to television in 1949 (I was 9 years old).

When I was 9 years old, Mom, myself, my new stepfather and with my younger sister  moved from Bedford, PA to Ashland, KY.
Shortly there after moving into our new residence our landlord (whom lived just a few houses away) invited us all for dinner one evening. They owned this very same model Zenith television and I saw TV for the very first time. I had been seeking one of these since the 1970s when I first stared collecting a few televisions.

The restoration went well, did the typical tubular capacitors replacements along with most of the electrolytics and a resistor or two.  It was loaded with those horrid, leaky Cornell Dublier "tiger stripped" or "bumble-bee" capacitors. Also included was a cleaning of the controls, switches and tuner contacts. The CRT tested a bit low on emission but showed good enough that it should deliver a fairly good picture.

Then came the time for test run, to my surprise a far better than typical image (produced from my Sencore VA-48) was showing. Then after adjusting the yoke, focus coil assembly and the sweep circuit adjustment a beautiful, symmetrical, sharp, bright, cross-hatch pattern was displayed.
