Circa 1918, IP-500 series. The internal
condition of this piece is the nicest I have seen. It's as if it
were built yesterday. 100% original and unmolested. The front
panel shows some wear but has no extra holes, gouges or
significant blems. All original & complete sans the metal ID
plate, all the controls & switches work freely & smooth. The
cabinet is good, no cracks or loose panels but the finish suffers
some minor dings, scratches and has a few small holes drilled in
it for some reason. I believe the SE-1220 was Built by Wireless Specialty. This is a fine example of
this extremely hard to find piece of early wireless equipment. The large dials are not discolored as they
appear in the photo's, those are reflections on the shiny
dial surface which is nickel plated.
I recently fabricated and
applied a nice replica of the name plate.
