The RCA "Catacomb" (sealed electronics) was used in Radiola models; AR-810 (Super VIII Console), AR-812 (Super-Heterodyne Portable), Radiola 25, 26. An eight tube version was used in the Radiola 28, 30 & 30A & 32. RCA never released a complete detailed schematic on this unit apparently to prevent their new Super-Heterodyne circuit from be compromised. By the time the Supet-Het circuit became the norm, the original electronics used in the "Catacomb" was obsolete.
Now there are professionally drawn schematics They where drawn by a friend of mine for free distribution. The schematics are professionally drawn on the sizes noted and are download files. I scanned them and maintained their original size. These are large files (to maintain high quality prints). The original printout size of the complete schematic is 11 x 26" on the jpg file & 11 x 22" on the PDF file. You decide what files you wish to download. You can take PDF files to Kinko's and have them printed full size. Here are the URL's and choices (jpg or PDF) for the files: the 6 tube "Catacomb" schematics are free download files: |
