This is a product that I have used for years and it really
works. It's not a polish or stain, it works by amalgamating the
original finish by softening & chemically blending it by hand
buffing action. It's not intended to use when the original
finish is gone or worn away. It works only where the original
finish is intact but suffers surface scratches, sun bleaching,
water spots surface cigarette burns etc. Mar-A-Way is not
to be used on bare or unfinished wood. Although it is
not a stain, on areas where scratches have penetrated into the
wood, it will have a light staining effect. Sometimes a second
application is necessary for badly scuffed, water stained or
bleached finishes. After successful application/s, a good
furniture polish is in order, such as OZ.
Although
it comes in several colors, I'm only carrying the Walnut color
as it can be used on any of the medium to dark colored finished.
The only finish it might affect undesirable is the "Blonde" or
light Oak finish. I can get other colors but they will be a
special order with at least a 10 day delay in shipping.

images using "Mar-A-Way". Keep in mind the most obvious
scratches are actually through the finish and slightly into the
wood. Also note that all of the light starches have disappeared
using the Mar-A-Way treatment. 1/2 pint can
