Philco 48-460 radio (the Hippo) ca: 1948
One of my Philco favorites from the late 1940's. A nice sounding radio with 6 tubes. Features a larger than usual speaker and an RF amplifier.
What I like most about this radio is the dial, uniquely engineered, beautiful, rugged and easy to see. It also provides a nice warm glow at night. I use it at my bedside
