Radiola Grand ca: 1922 |
The Radiola Grand had it's beginning with the Aeriola Grand. In fact when RCA redesigned the poor performing "Aeriola", the same cabinet was used on all the early versions, they simply placed a new decal over the old one on the remaining inventory. Note that on this set someone earlier has partially scraped away the Radiola decal, revealing the earlier "Aeriola" decal underneath. The "Aeriola's" worked so poorly that all that were sold were recalled and replaced with the "Radiola Grand" at no charge.
