RCA's first AC Super-Het ca: 1928
(click on above speaker or radio to enlarge)

One of RCA's first of their new 1928 line of super-heterodyne radio receivers designed for light-socket power (AC). xxxAbove shown with the RCA Radiola 103 speaker.

A well made set, manufactured by General Electric. The model 60 was made on the same basic platform as was the models 17, 18 & 33 (all were TRF receivers). The model 60 was a significant improvement over the previous TRF models and provided excellent performance and reliability. Many of these sets are still around today and still working quite well. Other models with the same RF section were the Radiola 62, 64.
