A capacitor tester is must for the radio technician. Without a tester that applies the working voltage, you cannot properly test for capacitor leakage (the number 1 problem plaguing vintage radio & electronic equipment). This instrument does that and more, it has been serviced, calibrated and is ready to put to use. This one clean and has been well cared for.
NOTE: the difference between the 950A and later 950B model is the way leakage it determined when testing electrolytic capacitors. The "B" version incorporates the "eye" in the test, the "A" version uses a Neon lamp. Both accomplish the same results. Otherwise all other test are done with the "eye" tube as the indicator.
